The Mary's Angels Choir..........

The Mary's Angels Choir is a children's choir within the Parish of Attard, which offers vocal training and musical fellowship to young singers from the age of 3 years onwards. Children from different backgrounds benefit from the participation in our choral programs. The choir provides these children and youths, the opportunity for artistic and personal growth, through performing arts. Together we celebrate, we sing, we praise God, we play instruments, we organize activities and we have great fun.

During this year we will continue to develop and implement a strong music education aspect to the program. We want to fulfill our responsibility to raise up the next generation of church musicians. Our children periodically share special programs and they also sing during Sunday 9am mass. We appreciate the trust you place in us, each week, when you allow us to work with your children. We are committed to providing a program that meets both the spiritual and practical needs of our children.

Our classes are held on Saturday afternoon at the Centru Papa Gwanni Pawlu II.

MUSIC EXPLORERS - KINDERS

This year we are introducing a new group to our choir. This class is for young children aged 3 to 5 years. Children love music. Music lessons can teach far more than just how to read music or how to play an instrument. Experts believe that early exposure to music can build a child's skills & enhance the ability to learn. Our 40mins class combine song, dance, movement games & percussion instruments to help children learn about rhythm, melody, tonality & beat while having fun with others in a healthy environment.

2 Classes are held every Saturday from 3.00pm - 4.00pm at the Centru Papa Gwanni Pawlu II near the Attard Parish Church.

JUNIORS

This group is made up of young children aged 6 to 10 years. In this level we introduce music to the children and focus on in-tune singing skills and building basic rhythmic skills with the use of percussion instruments. We have half an hour drama lesson to help the children build their self-confidence and once a month they perform a sketch during the 9am mass. They also learn the basic songs so they can participate with the elder choristers during the children's Sunday mass.

Rehearsals are held every Saturday from 3.00pm - 4.30pm at the Centru Papa Gwanni Pawlu II near the Attard Parish Church.

SENIORS

These are our elder choristers. This group is made up of adolscents and teens who meet once a week for the rehearsal, animate the Sunday 9am mass and other litugical events as well as participate in various activities outside the parish. Some of these members have been within the choir for more than 10 years.

Rehearsals are held every Saturday from 4.30pm - 6.00pm at the Centru Papa Gwanni Pawlu II near the Attard Parish Church.
